rockdove live @ Freddy's
~ A Day In The Park~
About the Band
At rockdove’s debut performance, the band quickly transformed a loud and rowdy crowd of strangers into a rapt and attentive audience with the quiet power of their music. With heartwrenching songs about the sadness, suffering and the great beauty of living they turned the heads of people who heard their own lives reflected in the songs, and brought the strangers together.

Rockdove can do that. Gorgeous vocal harmonies and slow Muscle Shoals grooves, great songwriting and great musicians; sad, Nashville-skyline drenched ballads and love, love, love in their hearts, honey. Rockdove loves you.

Close your eyes, and take in the otherworldy sounds of rockdove. You’ll hear Patsy, and Loretta, and the Band, and Aretha and Tom Petty and Nick Drake too. But mostly you’ll hear music sung with the soul of a gospel choir, because darlin’, they BELIEVE in this music...

"Rockdove is a wonderful collective of seasoned musicians who have an undeniable musical chemistry. Their original tunes, from 'The Hours' to 'Middle Of The Lawn' are poetic, harmonically pleasing and just flat out toe tapping fun. "
- Rebecca Martin

"Rockdove is a band of paradoxes. The band has three alternating lead vocalists, yet maintains a unified sound. Their lyrics are smart and musing, while the power of the songs hits you right in the gut. Moreover, they know how to rub acoustic instruments and electric instruments together in just the right way to generate brilliant sparks."
- Adam Levy

"Rockdove, whether or not they intend to, dispense spoonfuls of healing tonic to their listeners. Their songs are golden and plain, like any great poem you've memorized and carry with you."
- Eric Metzgar
